


| Environmental Policy Statement |
| The company’s environmental management system defines and documents all procedures and instructions commensurate and appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impacts of its activities, products and services. The company fully recognises the environmental impact of sea transport of all commodities and is committed to preventing and eliminating pollution, including implementing measures to reduce emissions - and continually improve its environmental performance by working in an environmental friendly manner and implementing the company procedures. The company is committed to comply with and where possible exceed all relevant national and international environmental legislation and regulations, and to implement industry guides and codes of practice to a level of performance applicable to the company. Targets and objectives are set and constantly reviewed which aim for the reduction of identified environmental impacts of its activities to air, sea and land where possible. Significant environmental impacts are identified and maintained by the responsible manager and communicated to third parties on request. Environmental issues are incorporated into business planning and all activities. Monitoring of appropriate technology and management practices is carried out and considered as part of any improved environmental performance that can be achieved. This policy and applicable procedures apply to the company. This policy will be communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of the organisation and be made available to the public. |
| At Sea |
| The company has a duty to exercise due care and to ensure adequate and appropriate measures are taken to protect the environment. It also aims for ZERO spills to sea. The Master has overall responsibility for ensuring the observance, implementation and review of this policy having overriding authority and responsibility to make decisions with respect to pollution prevention. |
| Ashore |
| The company reviews existing and pending legislation in respect of environmental protection. It also reviews all reports and recommendations received from the ships/offices in respect of environmental protection and complete the annual review which results in the implementation of recommendations as key to the continual improvement process. This policy forms part of the terms of employment of all personnel within the company and wilful non-compliance with pollution prevention requirements will render the employee liable to dismissal. The company uses its best endeavours to work closely with national and international bodies for the benefit of the environment – being a founder member of CYMEPA - and includes but are not limited to close associations with CSC, Intertanko, Intercargo, ICS and other industry institutions. |
