In order to evaluate a persons suitability for a specific position within the company it is necessary to collect information about that person. We will only collect information that is necessary for us to conduct our business. This information includes, but is not limited to;

Nationality
Age
Next of kin details
Height and weight
Identification document details
Certificates held and other training records
History of sea service
Bank account details

We will not seek to collect sensitive information without your explicit consent.
How we use the information
Your information will be used to the extent necessary within the company and its Branch offices and may be made available to shipowner clients for evaluation purposes.

We do not sell, trade, exchange or otherwise make available your data to any other third parties with the exception of limited data within investigation reports as may be required by proper authorities.

An individual may review the information we hold about him/her at their request. Any inaccuracies found will be promptly corrected.

Apart from the aforementioned if we intend to transfer your information to any party outside of the European Economic Area we will always obtain your consent first.
Security
We take the security of your data seriously. Access to data stored in electronic format is limited to specific personnel for the purposes of their carrying out their normal duties. Different personnel have access to different data depending upon their roles in the company.

Procedures are in place for data in paper format to be properly handled and stored.
