| IMS provides full technical management services for a variety of ship types including tankers (oil and chemical), bulk carriers, containers and other cargo vessels. With many years of service in the company, both onboard and ashore, key personnel have detailed knowledge of the fleet and company procedures. IMS operates a fleet of modern product tankers and through its tanker management systems has established a reputation of quality and trust with major oil companies. The in house developed Safety Management System is comprehensive and enables compliance with all statutory and industry requirements. It has been designed with due regard to the practical limitations faced by the crew and aims to ensure that they are not over burdened and are able to carry out their duties efficiently. By providing a good working environment, IMS is able to achieve a high retention rate for our seafarers. This helps us meet industry challenges such as the oil companies (OCIMF) tanker experience matrix . In addition IMS also operates a diverse fleet of dry vessels including bulk carriers and containers and has extensive experience in these ship types. The scope of technical management services provided are comprehensive and include purchasing, insurance and legal support as well as a specialized focus on fleet communications. A computerised planned maintenance system provides for high levels of vessel utilization as well as efficiency in ordering spares and stores. IMS offers full technical management services from its offices in Limassol, Hamburg and Miami and also offers a vessel technical inspection service for 3rd parties. |
